A holistic wellness educator, licensed massage therapist, and trauma-informed healing practitioner with over two decades of professional experience. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Detroit College of Business (1998) and transitioned from corporate leadership into holistic health after successfully addressing lifelong anxiety, panic disorder, and depression through integrative, plant-based wellness practices. This lived experience informs her compassionate, culturally responsive approach to healing and education.
Lisa is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and Myomassologist, having graduated from Irene’s School of Myomassology in 2001. She co-founded Euphoria Pampering Lounge in Southfield, Michigan (2003–2008) and has maintained a professional yoga practice for over 20 years, with 15 years of teaching experience. She is an Experienced Yoga Teacher, holding multiple Yoga Teacher Training certifications through LifePower Yoga.
As an educator, Lisa teaches Massage Therapy and holistic health electives at multiple institutions, offering coursework in Aromatherapy, Yoga for Therapists, Chakra Balancing, Guided Imagery, and integrative mind-body practices. She has also served as a guest lecturer for the past four years at Howard University, where she has taught manual therapy, yoga, and breathwork to Physical Therapy doctoral students.
Lisa operates a Yoga and Wellness Studio in Downtown Detroit, providing yoga instruction, sound healing, auricular acupuncture, massage therapy, and esthetic services. In 2023, she founded Deep Breaths & Heal, a nonprofit supporting Black women survivors of sexual assault through trauma-informed healing programs.
Lisa is also a widow and the devoted mother of three children, whom she has raised while building her professional and nonprofit work. She considers motherhood her most important role and a foundational influence on her commitment to family-centered, trauma-informed, and community-rooted healing.
A NADA Ear Auricular Detox Specialist and Trainer, Lisa utilizes acupuncture protocols to support individuals experiencing addiction, anxiety, and depression. She currently maintains a private wellness practice in Downtown Detroit, where she offers Yoga Teacher Trainings, Thai Massage education, continuing education (CEU) courses, and community-based wellness programming.

Dr. Irby’s career began in the 1990’s in the U.S. Air Force. After completing his enlistment, he spend the next decade working in Corporate America in a wide variety of Engineering and Program Management roles; while also obtaining a B.S. Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC), M.S. Project Management from The George Washington University, & a Doctorate of Management from UMUC.
In early 2010’s, Dr. Irby returned home to Detroit and spent the next few years in the auto industry and also academia. His achievements includes the Michigan Chronicle – Men of Excellence Award, Black Engineer of the Year (BEYA) – Science Spectrum Trailblazer Award, Individual Excellence Award, BEYA - Modern Day Technology Leader Award, and the U.S. Presidents Community Service Award.
Dr. Irby has participated in or led over 120 community service activities: science fairs, Black Engineer of the Year STEM Conference, ACT-SO, Junior Achievement, Great Minds in STEM, Math & Science Academy; created a STEM mentoring video with National Geographic.
Dr. Irby, born and raised in Detroit, loves yoga, running long-distance, traveling, gardening, and reading. He has a 10yr old son named Aydan..
